- 1X2
- A betting market where you pick either a home win (1), a draw (X), or an away win (2).
- Accumulator
- A single bet that links multiple selections together; all of them must win for the bet to pay out.
- Asian Handicap
- A goal handicap given to teams to eliminate the draw option, expressed in whole or half‑goal increments.
- Bet Builder
- A tool that lets you combine different outcomes from the same match into one custom wager.
- Betfair Exchange
- A peer‑to‑peer betting platform where users can back or lay outcomes directly with each other.
- Cash Out
- A feature that lets you settle a bet early for a reduced payout before the event finishes.
- Correct Score
- A wager that predicts the exact final score of a match.
- Double Chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible outcomes of a match, such as home win or draw.
- Dutching
- The practice of spreading your stake across several outcomes to guarantee a profit regardless of which one wins.
- Edge
- The perceived advantage a bettor believes they have over the odds offered by the bookmaker.
- Handicap
- A points or goal adjustment applied to a team to make the betting odds more balanced.
- Juice
- The commission or fee that a bookmaker adds to the odds, also called the vigorish.
- Lay Bet

- Live Betting

- Margin
- The bookmaker’s built‑in profit margin, shown as the amount by which the implied probabilities of all outcomes exceed 100%.
- Odds Movement
- The change in a betting line over time caused by new information or heavy wagering activity.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether a specific statistic, such as total goals, will be above or below a set line.
- Parlay
- A multi‑selection bet where each selection must win for a payout, similar to an accumulator.
- Point Spread
- A handicap assigned to the favorite team to level the betting field, often expressed as a number of points.
- Public Money
- Large bets placed by the majority of bettors, often used to predict which side the crowd is backing.
- Reverse Line Movement
- When the betting line moves opposite to where most of the money is being placed, indicating sharp action.
- Self-Exclusion
- A responsible‑gambling tool that allows you to block yourself from betting for a set period of time.
- Steam
- Rapid, heavy line movement usually triggered by a large amount of money wagered on one side.
- Unit
